P-Model - "Frozen Beach" Lyrics

If I understand this correctly, "Frozen Beach" was released by P-Model in 1984 and again in 1989, then covered by Mr. Hirasawa on his first solo album in 1989, and subsequently remixed by P-Model in 1995. O_o What a song. My favorite is the super-techno version from Scuba Recycle in 1995. This song made me realize that--like in "Venus" or maybe "Mermaid Song"--Hirasawa really does use the motif of drowning/being submerged in water as the way to meet with "you" again fairly often. Interesting.

P-Model - "Frozen Beach"

FROZEN BEACH

FROZEN BEACH

Deai no basho wa somo kono FROZEN BEACH
Kimi ni kyoui to keii de kangaeru
Ashita kara no dekigoto no maebure ni
Kodai no namida hitotsu mo nagasasete

Futari no kage no ochite yuku saki
Umi no genshi to bunshi ni haji o shiru
Kako shiriau hito dake ni omoidasu
Kagaku to inori no hazama FROZEN BEACH

Naka fukamaru hodo ni kieru kuchikazu
Yume no aizu to himitsu de iki o tsuku
Ato ikutsu no utsutsu o omoinagara

P-Model - "Frozen Beach"

The place where we first met was this frozen beach
I contemplate it with wonder and respect for you
As a harbinger of the events to come after tomorrow,
Let me shed one tear from ancient times

Oh…

There, where both our shadows fall
The atoms and molecules of the sea make me feel ashamed
Only people who get to know each other in the past will recall
The frozen beach between science and prayer

Oh…

As our relationship deepens, we no longer need words
I take a breath with dream signals and secrets
How many more realities must I consider
Before I can meet you at the bottom of the thawed sea?

Oh...
